Rule:
1 syllable → -es
Multiple syllables → -s

Genitive noun usually comes after the main noun:Das Auto des Mannes

5. Using "von" instead of Genitive (Modern German) (Speaking)
In spoken German, people often use:von + Dative
Instead of Genitive:
